I know how difficult it can be for men to approach women and initiate a conversation, and I give major props to those who do it. However, as an Asian woman, I have personally seen the biggest whiffs ever. Have you ever seen a soccer player try and kick a ball and miss so hard that they fall down? Yeah, well that’s what I’m talking about. I’ve compiled a list of the worst possible lines/conversation starters men can use to try and pick up an Asian woman. I will tell you that almost all of them have actually been said to me, even #7.

I was sitting outside a club with a very cute friend of mine (Yoko) when a guy walked up to her and used an opening line that was a combination of #10 & #8.
She got huffy (which is very unusual as she is normally very friendly) and refused to answer. After a couple seconds, he realized he wasn’t going to get anywhere with her and shuffled off.
